Season Finale And Romain Has Only Done It Again!

Snetterton was the scene for the finale of Time Attack 2011 and what a day it turned into. The sun was shining and Romain's CRX was ready to set the place on fire. Right from the off, Romain was right on the money, pulling 1:20s consistently throughout the day. The tension was building when Romain came in on the penultimate lap to have his NOS turned up. Right on the last lap, the crazy Frenchman pulled a 1:19:377 to secure second place and yet another podium finish! Congratulations to Romain in the Eurospec Buddy Club CRX. Here's looking forward to 2012!

Congratulations to Chris 'Welshy' Hamar

Chris ran in Time Attack's Club Challenge for the first time this weekend in his devastating Evo 6. Ever cool, Chris didn't let the fact that it was his first time at TA stop him from setting a blistering pace on the ultra quick Snetterton circuit, running an impressive 3rd in class on the top speed traps. After a little grass cutting and some in field engineering from the Eurospec team Chris went out in the final lap and recorded 12th out of 18 in class. Pretty damn good for a first time out! Well done man, lets gets some cups next year!

Romain Is Storming Time Attack!

Cadwell Park, sometimes called the mini Nürburgring, was Romain's next chance to show just how good the Eurospec CRX is with the French touch. Never one to disappoint, Romain made the blistering heat and challenging track come alive, winning not only the FWD class but the whole Club Challenge class!

Another Eurospec Win At Time Attack!

Hot on the back of the breathtaking run at Knockhill, the guys were out again at Brands Hatch. Romain once more showed the blistering pace that just keeps improving. Eurospec Wins Again At Time Attack!

Last Sunday saw the second round of the 2011 Time Attack series and the first win of the season for Romain and the rest of the team. The guys made the long trip from Guildford all the way to Knock Hill Circuit in Scotland where the Eurospec CRX notched up the win, thanks to another amazing drive from Romain. Powered by a fully forged K20, built in house, the Rotrex Supercharged CRX managed a fastest lap of 1:00:22. Bring on Brands Hatch!

EP3 Project Begins

Winter is here and we were looking for a new project car. This time we took a bog stock 2002 Honda Civic Type R and started a fairly typical tuning process. We hope to find out exactly what gains we can get from what mods. Look foward to updates as we modify the civic step by step.

Today we finished the first steps in our process - adding a Hondata mappable ECU. Here are the results:

Then without touching anything else on the car, we installed our K Pro and Romain and Mark set about remapping it. As you can see the gains are significant - 12BHP peak, and near 30bhp in the mid range! When you consider that is just a remap on a completely stock car its all the more impressive.

We've been thinking about the first mods, and decided we are going to go for an Injen CAI, DC Sports Exhaust Manifold and Cat back system. We'll see what we can get out of that combo in the next few days.

Eurospec Wins At Time Attack!

The Eurospec Built Buddy Club Sponsored CRX driven by our tame Frenchman, Romain Levesque, recorded its first class win at Snetterton on Sunday, beating the 2^nd place man by nearly 2 clear seconds! Romain recorded the fastest time in his class in warm up, practice, qualifying and the final- demonstrating the potential of the K20 Engined Supercharged CRX.

The CRX features a fully forged K20a engine, built in house and fitted with a Rotrex C38 supercharger. The suspension is entirely Buddy Club, brakes are Spoon callipers with Dixcel disks and pads. Power output is around 414BHP.

Eurospec Sets World Power Record for FTO

Eurospec's drag FTO, affectionately known as the "Womble Extreme" pushed out a new power output record of 500BHP - at the front wheels!

Commenting on the new record pass, Mark Callister, Eurospecs Director of Operations, said "We always knew The Womble would be capable of big numbers and now its proved what it can do". The Womble’s engine is a forged 6A13T Galant VR4 engine which features Eurospec’s custom designed pistons, forged rods and crank, twin TD05 20G Subaru Turbos and a PWR charge cooler. Suprisingly, this was done with stock heads and stock cams. We believe this is the world power record for the 6A13T engine with stock heads and cams.

Eurospec GTO Does It Again

Eurospec’s record breaking GTO cemented its position as Europes fastest car of its type. Producing a huge 1000BHP, the Eurospec car weiging some 1700Kgs was propelled down the ¼ mile in just 10.38 seconds with a terminal speed of 142mph - on road tyres!

Congratulations to Big Ree

Big Ree on his first outing in the Eurospec built FTO-Evo Conversion pushed out a 13.2 second ¼ mile at 127mph. Not bad for the cars first shake down run, producing only 500BHP on wastegate boost! We look forward to seeing Ree in his first pro season in the HKS Drag serise next year.

Gowf Breaks the UK Power Record For The VR4

Congratulations to Gareth whose Vipec equiped Galant VR4 broke the UK power output record with an astounding 445bhp and over 500 lb/ft of torque - all from a stock engine with hybrid TD04 turbos. Go break some drive train bits dude!

Womble 1 Becomes The World's Most Powerful Auto FTO

Tony Gorman, one of Eurospec’s pioneering customers, became the owner of the worlds most powerful automatic FTO. Tony’s original womble project car, featuring an Evo V engine and customised FTO automatic drive train, produced 380bhp on our dyno dynamics rolling road, making it the worlds most powerful automatic FTO. Congratulations Tony!
